Selling Added Value : Who we are

Social Enterprise Support Centre

Selling Added Value is a course funded by the LSC and ESF and delivered by the Social Enterprise Support Centre. The Social Enterprise Support Centre Limited (SESC) is registered under the Industrial and Provident Societies Acts 1965 - 1978 since February 2004, company registration 29694R. We support the development and growth of small and large businesses with a social aim, right across West Yorkshire.

Selling added value has been developed by Paula Denison, Rachel Oddie of SESC and Tim Goodspeed of EFM. If you wish to discuss this course further please contact SESC.

Measuring the added value can be tricky, time consuming and is a bit of a rough science. Now thanks to investment by the Learning and Skills Council, we have developed a new programme that short cuts the audit process to identify a monetary value of the extra benefits of community service delivery. So a community café that provides jobs for the unemployed taking people off benefits and training them in catering will soon be proving that every £1 spent on a sandwich is giving back say £3 in value because of the extra social benefits they were set up to provide.
