Introducing Selling Added Value
Vision - to enable social enterprises to grow by demonstrating their added value in terms that are relevant to buyers
What is it?
We aim to give social enterprises social accounting skills in order to compete for work and contracts on added value. This requires them to identify the benefit of their services, the impact of those benefits and the value of that impact.
Objectives
- Using existing social accounting tools, produce a short and effective social statement for social enterprises based on their added value.
- Provide pathways for social enterprises that use the minimum amount of time and resources or that provide full social audits, as required.
- Define benefits in both qualitative and quantitative ways.
- Develop and pilot some consistent indicators for added value (including sector specific indicators where appropriate).
Who is this course for?
The course is of interest to senior managers with an overview of the entire organisation, finance staff interested in the monetary value of their services, frontline sales staff needing powerful sales ammunition, and quality managers interested in continuous improvement.

How much time will it take?
We have scheduled this training to fit with your need to run your organisation, but we do need you to attend day 1, complete some work back in the office then come back one month later and complete day 2.
One to one support is available for you all the way through the course, with procurement support available after the training has been completed.
What will I achieve?
At the end of the course you will have learned how to map the impact of the social benefit your organisation provides.
You will learn how to monetise the added value of your service provision. You will also learn how to present your organisation in a selling situation using our added value to make a more persuasive argument to procurers and commissioners.
We will help you to produce your Added Value Statement, a robust declaration of your social benefit and added value.
